Veterinary Emergency Services currently employs three full time veterinarians and seven full time licensed veterinarian technicians as well as other part time support staff from area veterinary clinics.Veterinarians
Dr. Robin Dishman, MS, DVM
Dr. Dishman received her Masters degree and DVM degree at Kansas State University. She spent 5 years in private practice working in a mixed animal practice before focusing on strictly small animal medicine for 5 years. She then served as the Director of Veterinary Services at Capital Humane Society.
Dr. Dishman joined Veterinary Emergency Services in 2005 and then was appointed to the position of Medical Director in 2006. Dr. Dishman is a member of the following veterinary organizations: AVMA, NVMA, VECCS, IVAPM
Dr. Chris Carr, DVM
Dr. Carr received her DVM degree from Washington State University. She worked in a small animal practice in Washington state for 7 years. She then practiced in a small animal clinic for 2 years in Nebraska.
Dr. Carr joined Veterinary Emergency services in 2005.
Dr. Carr is a member of the following veterinary organizations: AVMA, NVMA
Dr. Megan Behrens, DVM
Dr. Behrens received her DVM degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Behrens joined Veterinary Emergency Services in 2007.

Licensed Veterinary Technicians
Brittany, LVT
Brittany graduated from Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in 2003 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology.
After becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician, she then started working full time in a small animal practice. Brittany started working part time at Veterinary Emergency Services in 2007.
Jesse, LVT
Jesse graduated from Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in 1998 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology.
After becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician, he spent 7 years at a small animal practice in Lincoln before joining Veterinary Emergency Services in 2005 as a full time LVT.
Julie, LVT
Julie graduated from Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in 1998 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology.
After becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician, she then spent the next 7 years in a small animal practice. Julie started working part time at Veterinary Emergency Services in 2005 and then became full time in 2006. Julie became part time in 2009.
Kevin, LVT
Kevin graduated from Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in 1997 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology.
After becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician, he worked at a small animal practice in Lincoln. Kevin started working part time as an LVT at Veterinary Emergency Services in 2005 and then became full time in 2006.
Lucinda, LVT
Lucinda graduated from Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in 2001 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology.
After becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician, she worked for 1 year in a mixed animal practice in South Dakota. Lucinda then spent 3 years working at the Capital Humane Society in Lincoln. In 2005 she joined Veterinary Emergency Services as a full time LVT.
Tonya, LVT
Tonya graduated from Bel Rea Institute in 2007 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology.
After becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2007, she joined Veterinary Emergency Services as a full time LVT.
Valerie, LVT
Valerie graduated from Omaha College of Health Careers in 1998 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology.
After becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician, she worked part time in a small animal practice in Lincoln. In 2005 she joined Veterinary Emergency Services as a full time LVT.
